Seth Davis declared earlier this week that in order for Arkansas to be ranked, it must bring him “Auburn’s broomstick.”
Consider it done.
Davis, the CBS Sports reporter, should follow through on that plan after the Razorbacks upset No. 1 Auburn 80-76 before a record crowd of 20,327 at Bud Walton Arena during a white out atmosphere. The Tigers climbed back from a double-digit first-half deficit to take a lead in the second half, but couldn’t finish off the comeback in regulation.
Arkansas outscored Auburn 14-10 in overtime as JD Notae led 4 players in double figures with 28 points for the game.

Arkansas built a 12-point lead midway through the first half, but Auburn climbed to within 3 points at halftime, But the Razorbacks prevailed and extended their winning streak to 9 games as fans stormed the court at the buzzer.
Notae was 7-for-20 shooting, and particularly efficient at the free throw line, where he was 11-for-14. Auburn struggled to get to the line and missed several shots, as Arkansas had a distinct edge in that area. The Tigers were 8-17 on free throws. Arkansas shot 26-32 from the line.
Davis responded in real time.
What a scene in Bud Walton Arena.
