Arkansas lands commitment from 4-star ATH out of Mississippi

Sam Pittman’s Arkansas staff went into neighboring Mississippi for the Razorbacks’ newest commitment. Blue-chip ATH prospect Julius Pope announced Saturday on social media that he has committed to play for the Hogs.

ATH is used to describe multiposition prospects. The 247Sports Composite ranks Pope as a 4-star linebacker, the No. 11 recruit in Mississippi and No. 338 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.

In addition to Pittman, Pope tagged Arkansas assistants Jimmy Smith (running backs), Marcus Woodson (co-defensive coordinator) and Travis Williams (defensive coordinator) in his announcement.

A South Panola standout from Batesville, Mississippi, Pope is listed as measuring 6-feet, 195 pounds. On his Instagram page, Pope shared scholarship offers from Alabama, Michigan, Louisville and Oregon.
