Arkansas lands impact transfer with Father’s Day commitment from productive OF out of portal

Arkansas has added a productive bat to its 2025 lineup, landing Milwaukee outfielder Carson Hansen out of the transfer portal.
A 6-2, 220-pounder who bats and throws left-handed, Hansen will be a junior in 2025. He shared a note announcing his commitment on social media.
“I’d like to start off by thanking the coaching staff, teammates, and support team at Milwaukee,” Hansen wrote. “I made plenty lifelong friends, and wouldn’t trade the last 2 years for anything.
“With that being said, I’m super excited to announce my commitment to play baseball at the University of Arkansas.
“No better day to announce this than Father’s Day. My dad is the reason I keep lacing up the cleats, and who I play for every single day. I know he is smiling down right now and watching over me. This is just the beginning!

A Pewaukee, Wisconsin native, Hansen has enjoyed a standout college career in two season. He was named to the Horizon League’s All-Freshman Team in 2023 and made All-League First Team this past season.
Hansen earned his all-conference honors by slashing .315 /.404/.601 and notching 63 RBIs.
Hansen’s batting average of .315 was second highest on the team. He was also second on the team in on-base percentage, drawing 27 walks to go along with his 64 hits for a .404 on-base percentage, good for second on the team.
Hansen showed a tendency to slug as a sophomore. After no home runs in his freshman season, he homered 11 times as a sophomore.

He notched a team-high 36 extra-best hits and led the team with a 1.005 OPS. Hansen’s 25 doubles on the season are tied for No. 7 nationally. This past season, Arkansas’ leader in extra-base hits was Wehiwa Aloy with 23 (9 doubles, 14 home runs).
