One New Orleans linebacker won’t be suiting up for Arkansas in next year’s Battle for the Golden Boot.

Sophomore LB Derrick Munson announced on Twitter this week that he plans to leave Arkansas after two seasons with the Hogs. As many fans are aware, transfers are to be expected when there’s a coaching change.

On the weekly SEC media teleconference, Arkansas coach Chad Morris confirmed that Munson has already “stepped away from the program” and will not travel with the team to Missouri for the final game of the season.

Munson appeared in nine games on special teams last season. He played in all 11 games of the 2018 season so far, recording 14 total tackles including two for loss as well as one sack.
