Arkansas has another option to potentially replace the outgoing Brandon Allen next fall, and his last name should be familiar.
Jack Lindsey, grandson of former Razorbacks RB Jim Lindsey and son of TE Lyndy Lindsey, committed to the school as a preferrred walk-on. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound pro-style QB out of Springdale, Ark., is the team’s the ninth preferred walk-on recruit.

Lindsey’s grandfather played running back at Arkansas from 1963-65 and was a member of the 1964 team that claimed a national championship from the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
He was later taken in the second round of the 1966 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, where he enjoyed a seven-year career.
Meanwhile, Lyndy played three seasons at Arkansas from 1989-91. The 1991 season was the Razorbacks’ last in the Southwest Conference (SWC) before joining the SEC the next season.
