Arkansas is 1 of several teams who have reached out to former Syracuse center Jesse Edwards, according to a report.
Edwards entered the portal late Monday night. The Orange had a tough season in 2022-23, but Edwards as a bright spot. He averaged a double-double with 2.7 blocks per game.
In addition to the Razorbacks, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello says Edwards has heard from programs like Gonzaga, West Virginia, Seton Hall, Florida and more.

Edwards is considered to be one of the top centers in the transfer portal so far this cycle. He averaged 14.5 points and 10.3 boards per contest this past season.
Arkansas does have a 5-star center already signed in the class of 2023 in Baye Fall. Fall is the No. 3 center in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
However, it’s possible the Razorbacks will be looking to add multiple bigs to its roster this offseason. Last season, Arkansas played without a true center. 6-foot-9 Makhi Mitchell led Arkansas with 5.3 rebounds per game.
Arkansas has already picked up a pair of transfer commitments so far this offseason: guards Tramon Mark and Keyon Menifield.
