Arkansas has lost its second commitment of the day after firing Chad Morris. Again, it’s a Texas product who is deciding to re-open his recruitment.

Houston native John Gentry announced on Sunday via his Twitter account that he has backed off his verbal pledge to the Razorbacks.

The North Shore running back is listed at 5-10, 186 pounds and rated the No. 51 RB, No. 101 Texas product and No. 721 prospect overall nationally for the 2020 class on the 247Sports Composite.

Gentry has 17 total offers, including Tennessee. The Vols offer came on Oct. 14. Gentry most recently visited Utah after receiving an offer from the Utes.

Without Gentry, the Hogs are down to 12 players, including Morris’ son Chandler, still officially committed for 2020.
