Arkansas men’s basketball advanced to the Elite Eight for the second straight year this past season. While the Razorbacks have yet to unveil the non-conference opponents they’ll face in 2022-23, we do know who at least one of those opponents will me.
Per WholeHogSports.com’s Matt Jones, the Razorbacks will host Troy at Bud Walton Arena on Nov. 28 at a time to be determined. It is the 5th all-time meeting between the 2 programs; the Hogs are 4-1 in the series. As Jones notes, while the Razorbacks have yet to release their non-league slate, the Trojans have announced theirs.
The Trojans, from the Sun Belt Conference, finished 20-12 overall (10-6 in league play) in 2021-22. They participated in the College Basketball Invitational during the postseason.
As for the Razorbacks, they are coming off a 28-9 season that saw them finish the SEC slate with a 13-5 conference mark. They lost to Texas A&M in the SEC semifinals but ended up a 4-seed in the NCAA Tournament, where they beat Vermont, New Mexico State, and Gonzaga before falling to 2nd-seeded Duke in the West Regional final.
