Peavey lost out on Arkansas’s No. 2 quarterback spot to freshmen Ty Storey and Cole Kelley. Junior Austin Allen is the starter for the Razorbacks.
Peavey will have to sit out the 2016 season, but will have two years of eligibility remaining when he can play again in 2017.
The Missouri native was a three-star prospect coming out of high school in the class of 2014.
