Arkansas running back Devwah Whaley is ready to travel to Texas to face Texas A&M this weekend.
Whaley, a Texas native, shot down a tweet from Barstool Sports’ Arkansas account that stated he wouldn’t play Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
“Rumors swirling on Hogville that Devwah Whaley will not play against the Aggies on Saturday after suffering a broken jaw,” the Barstool account tweeted Thursday just before noon.
Two hours later, Whaley responded.
“I appreciate everyone’s concerns,” Whaley tweeted. “I’m set to travel with my teammates and take on Texas A&M in my home state.”
Whaley, a sophomore, has started both games at running back for the Razorbacks this season, carrying a team-high 23 times for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Saturday’s game will kick off at noon ET and air on ESPN.
I appreciate everyone's concerns. I'm set to travel with my teammates and take on Texas A&M in my home state.
