Arkansas shocks No. 1 seed Kansas behind furious 2nd half effort, advances to Sweet 16

Arkansas and Kansas may have just played the game of the tournament so far.
The Razorbacks, behind an absurd performance from Devo Davis, beat the reigning national champs 72-71 Saturday. With the win, Arkansas advances to the Sweet 16 for the 3rd straight season.
And one thing is for certain: Davis was the best player on the court in the 2nd half. The Arkansas junior guard exploded for 25 points in the final 20 minutes after scoring just 4 in the first half. Unfortunately for Arkansas, Davis fouled out with 1:56 remaining in the game. Foul trouble was present for both teams, with Makhi Mitchell also fouling out before the final buzzer. Kevin McCullar fouled out for Kansas as well.

The Razorbacks will now face off against the winner of Saint Mary’s and UConn, which is set to tip off Sunday at 6:10 ET.
Eric Musselman and Arkansas truly are just built for March. The Hogs went through a lot this season, losing Trevon Brazile and Nick Smith early in the season. Smith returned, bolstering a group that had to claw and fight for its spot in the Big Dance in January and February. Now, they’re heading to the 14th Sweet 16 in program history.
