Arkansas moved to 2-1 on the season on Saturday with a 37-27 win over UAB in Fayetteville.
After a bad start to the game, the Razorbacks recovered nicely and ultimately cruised to a double-digit win over the Blazers. UAB jumped out to a 17-3 lead in the first half, but Arkansas controlled the game for the rest of the night.

Arkansas’ offense ended up averaging 6.7 yards per play on the afternoon, which was aided mostly by an elite rushing attack. Ja’Quinden Jackson had another strong day on the ground, rushing for 147 yards and 1 touchdown on 15 carries.
Taylen Green may have struggled as a passer in this game, but he was excellent with his legs once again. Green rushed for 96 yards and 2 scores on 17 attempts.
Andrew Armstrong was the big contributor in the passing game for the Hogs. He accounted for nearly all of Green’s passing on the day: 8 receptions for 137 yards. Overall, Green completed 11 passes for 161 yards.
Defensively, Arkansas’ defense tightened up in the second half. The Blazers averaged just 2.9 yards per rush after the break and went 1-for-6 on third downs. UAB did manage 1 scoring drive in the second half to make it a 3-point game midway through the 4th quarter, but was otherwise ineffective.
Arkansas will go on the road to face Auburn next weekend.
