Saturday’s Arkansas-Texas A&M matchup was scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT, but severe weather in the Fayetteville area has prompted Arkansas to postpone kickoff 2 hours. The telecast will remain on ESPN.
Strong thunderstorms within a cold front are moving through Arkansas throughout Saturday afternoon, with the heaviest activity predicted for between noon-3 p.m. CT. National Weather Service prediction models say some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall and south winds could blow to 30 mph.
The same models show light rain after that, with temperatures dropping into the 60s by the amended 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT kickoff.
Gates at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium are now scheduled to open at 3 pm CT.
The 4th-ranked Aggies come into Saturday’s game riding a 6-0 record, while Arkansas is 2-5 under interim coach Bobby Petrino. The Razorbacks lead the all-time series Arkansas 42–36–3, though Texas A&M has won 3 straight in what is known as The Southwest Classic.
The Aggies and Razorbacks played annually from 1934 to 1991 as members of the Southwest Conference before Arkansas moved to join the SEC. A renewal of the rivalry came in 2009 and was played in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas – though the 2012 and 2020 games were held in College Station and the 2013 and 2025 editions set for Fayetteville.
