The Arkansas Razorbacks hired Chad Morris away from SMU this offseason, but Morris faces a tough rebuilding job in Fayetteville.

Still, he needs to show signs of improvement in Year 1, or else the fanbase may start to get even more restless.

On Wednesday, The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel joined “Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly” and said he thinks a bowl game is a reasonable goal for Morris this fall:

Naturally, Arkansas wouldn’t go to a great bowl game with a 6-6 record, but it would be a step up from 2017.

There were some flashes of promise in the spring game, but now it’s up to Morris to make that carry over to the regular season this September.
