The bulk of 2019 recruits signed during the Early Signing Period (Dec. 19-21), but a few key prospects are still out there in the process of making their final decision. One Atlanta athlete plans to visit South Carolina and Ole Miss before he commits and signs.
Maynard Jackson ATH Dequan Watts tweeted Sunday that he’ll be announcing his commitment on Jan. 28. According to The Big Spur, he will visit South Carolina next weekend, Ole Miss the weekend after that and possibly Oregon before the announcement.
Listed at 6-2, 165 pounds, Watts is a 3-star recruit rated the No. 63 athlete and No. 91 Georgia recruit in the class of 2019 on the 247Sports Composite. He was previously committed to UCF, but backed off that pledge on Nov. 18, 2018, days after he received a scholarship offer from South Carolina (Nov. 12) and unofficially visited the Gamecocks (Nov. 17).
I will be Committing January 28th @ 12:40 pm… Stay Tuned👀❗️
