The Atlanta Falcons are making some major staff changes.

While coach Dan Quinn remains, Atlanta is dismissing offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel and special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong. Sarkisian took the position for the 2017 season after being an offensive analyst, and briefly the offensive coordinator, at Alabama in 2016.

With an offensive coordinator vacancy at Tennessee and familiarity between Sarkisian and UT coach Jeremy Pruitt from their time on Nick Saban’s staff, it’s not surprising to see the former USC head coach linked to the Volunteers (something that had started before the firing was even made official).

Manuel played at Florida from 1997-2001 and in the NFL for eight seasons (2002-09). He has been in coaching since 2012, exclusively at the professional level.
