Auburn will honor the legacies of 3 historic teams during the 2023 season.
The program announced that news on Friday afternoon. The Tigers will honor teams from 1983, 1993 and 2013 later this season.

The 1983 team will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Sept. 30 as the Tigers face Georgia. That squad, which featured Bo Jackson, went 11-1 and ultimately won the SEC Championship. The team accomplished Auburn’s first 11-win season in program history.
Auburn’s 1993 squad will be remembered on Oct. 21 as the Tigers host Ole Miss. In ’93, Auburn once again won 11 games and finished No. 4 in the AP Top 25.
Auburn’s 2013 will be honored on its 10th anniversary during the Iron Bowl on Nov. 25. Led by Gus Malzahn, Auburn went 12-2 in 2013 and won the SEC Championship. The Tigers also reached the BCS National Championship Game that season.
Auburn is entering the first year of the Hugh Freeze era this season. The Tigers will open the 2023 season against UMass on Sept. 2.
