Auburn basketball added a key piece to its 2023-24 roster on Friday afternoon.

The Tigers picked up a commitment from JUCO forward Addarin Scott. He arrives in Auburn via Navarro College in Texas.

Here’s his announcement:

At 6-foot-9, Scott brings size and skill to Auburn’s front court. Last season at Navarro, he averaged 9.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.

Scott projects to be a strong option off the bench next season for the Tigers

Auburn’s future

Auburn is in the midst of building its roster for next season. Bruce Pearl and his staff have been tasked with replacing several key players, including Yohan Traore, Wendell Green Jr. and Allen Flanigan.

Scott is Auburn’s fifth addition so far this offseason and the second from the JUCO ranks. The Tigers have also added Chad Baker-Mazara (JUCO) and Chaney Johnson (Division II). That group joins FIU transfer Denver Jones and 5-star guard Aden Holloway in Auburn’s incoming recruiting class.

Auburn will be looking to make the NCAA Tournament for the 3rd consecutive season in 2023-24.
