Auburn added a key piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Tuesday evening.

The Tigers landed a commitment from 3-star tight end Hollis Davidson. He chose Auburn over programs such as Miami, Florida, Florida State and Ole Miss, amongst others.

He shared his announcement with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

While Davidson is currently a 3-star prospect, he’s well within range to be upgraded to a 4-star before the end of the 2025 cycle. He’s the No. 369 overall player and the No. 21 tight end in the country for the class of 2025. For context, in the class of 2024, over 475 prospects earned 4-star status, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Davidson attended Auburn’s junior day this past weekend. He also made unofficial visits to Florida, Florida State and Miami prior to making this decision.

Davidson attends McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 238 pounds.

Auburn now has 8 commits in the class of 2025. It’s still very early in the cycle, but the Tigers currently have the No. 6-ranked class nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from Davidson’s junior season:
