Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman delivered the play of the day at fall camp so far for the Tigers, making an unbelievable touchdown catch during a red zone drill on Thursday.
Coleman arrived at Auburn as one of the top recruits in the 2024 class. The 6-foot-3 wideout from Phenix City, Alabama, was ranked as a 5-star prospect and has wasted no time showing why. His combination of elite hands, body control, and length gave him immediate upside in Hugh Freeze’s offense and he delivered right away as a freshman.
He caught 37 balls for 598 yards and 8 touchdowns in his debut campaign last fall.
Here’s a look at Thursday’s catch:
Auburn’s receiving corps is expected to take a big step forward in 2025, and if Coleman keeps producing these kinds of moments, it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a go-to weapon on Saturdays.
Coleman’s ability to win contested catches, especially in tight red zone situations, adds a dimension Auburn’s offense sorely lacked last season. Coaches have praised his work ethic thus far in the offseason, and he’s quickly becoming a trustworthy wideout for Jackson Arnold in 2025.
The Tigers open up against Baylor on August 29.
