Auburn is on upset alert at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The Tigers are tied with New Mexico State amidst first-half struggles, and the Aggies are threatening to take the lead before the end of the first half. New Mexico State took the lead early in the first quarter, and Auburn didn’t answer until halfway through the second quarter when Payton Thorne found Rivaldo Fairweather for a touchdown.

New Mexico State’s Diego Pavia is leading the quarterback matchup with 127 yards and a touchdown compared to Thorne, who has 68 yards and a touchdown. Auburn’s offense has been stagnant, and the Tigers will need some answers if they want to avoid an upset.

Auburn is looking to pick up a 4th-straight win to get some momentum before the Iron Bowl next week, but the game is proving to be tougher than the Tigers’ expected.

Give credit to New Mexico State, as the Aggies have put together a respectable 8-3 record up to this point, playing in the C-USA.
