Auburn DL Derrick Brown tweets statement about his availability for team’s bowl game
Considering Derrick Brown is a projected first-round NFL draft pick, it was fair for Auburn fans to wonder if he would forego his senior season as well as sit out the team’s bowl game to protect his health and draft stock.
The defensive lineman cleared up one of those issues Monday.
Brown tweeted that he will play for the Tigers in the Music City Bowl against Purdue on Dec. 28 in Nashville, Tennessee. It has become a recent trend for early draft entrants to not play in bowl games, and a few players have already opted to go that route this season.
But Brown isn’t one of them, as he revealed in a humorous Twitter announcement that poked a little fun at the media.
Since everyone is wondering?….Per Source of Derrick Brown” Derrick Brown will play in the bowl game wouldn’t miss it for nothing in the World except my Sons Birth? haha ” WAREAGLE???
