This is a huge get for the Tigers, who have been hampered by poor QB play in recent years. The addition of Knight now gives the Tigers the No. 3 class in the country for 2025.
Knight is rated as the No. 5 QB and the No. 2 player out of Mississippi in the 2025 class per the 247Sports Composite ranking.
Knight stars for George County High School in Lucedale, MS. The QB originally received heavy interest from Alabama, South Carolina, Miami, and more before committing to Notre Dame last year. Knight had an unofficial visit with Auburn back in August, and then again in early September before taking an official visit in late September.
The talented prospect is a dynamic athlete who participates in track and field as well as basketball. Knight is also the brother of former Indiana WR Ty Fryfogle.
Knight is the first QB to commit to Auburn in the 2025 class. The young left-handed QB could be a game-changer for the Tigers in a couple of seasons.
