Auburn competed hard for a second straight weekend, but once again was on the wrong end on the score board as the Tigers lost to Texas A&M, 16-10 on Saturday.

Last weekend, the Tigers lost to Oklahoma in another competitive game, but all that Auburn fans care is the fact that their team is now 0-2 in SEC play.

This has become a trend for Auburn, as this is the third consecutive season that the team has started out 0-2 in conference play. The Tigers have done that in each of Freeze’s three seasons, and it is the first time in program history that the team has accomplished that disappointing feat according to the ESPN broadcast.

Freeze entered this season with a lot of pressure, as the Tigers were only 11-14 in his first two years. The team went out and got some marquee transfers, and have one of the best wide receive groups in the country led by Cam Coleman and Eric Singleton Jr. However, Auburn hasn’t been able to unleash those playmakers, and are now in danger of another long season for their team.

Auburn will be off next week before another very tough conference game at home against Georgia on Oct. 11.
