Auburn is getting ready to raise some serious money.
At least that’s the impression given by a report from 247Sports, which cites a letter to Auburn donors from Tigers AD Jay Jacobs.
AuburnUndercover says the contents of the letter were sent to them by one of the recipients.
It is a bold plan that would require more than $200 million to complete in two different phases.
The big-ticket item appears to be $75 million for north end zone renovations at Jordan-Hare stadium, as well as new locker rooms, a recruit area and some premium seating additions.
Another $30 million would be allotted towards the construction of a new football operations building that would include a player’s lounge, locker room, weight room, coaches offices and more.
The third and final part of what they term as “Phase I” would be $25 million for a state-of-the-art sports medicine facility.
“Phase 2” of the fundraising efforts would include a handful of smaller projects, including an SEC Network studio extension and upgrades to facilities for several non-football sports programs.
