The second College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday night.
Following another close win at Ole Miss on Saturday night, and with wins at Kansas State and over LSU in its back pocket, Auburn held its No. 3 spot in the top four of the College Football Playoff Top 25.
The Tigers, as of Tuesday night, would be matched up with No. 2 Florida State in a rematch of the 2013 BCS Championship Game.
Auburn’s lone blemish is a road loss at No. 1 Mississippi State last month. The Tigers still have road dates at No. 20 Georgia and No. 5 Alabama.
The Tigers play host to Texas A&M Saturday afternoon inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.
