Auburn lands commitment from JUCO DB, former Tennessee pledge

Days after decommitting from Tennessee, Roterius Torrence is pledged to another SEC program. The Hutchinson Community College (Kansas) product announced his commitment to Auburn on Sunday.

Torrence is a native of Bessemer, Alabama. On his 247Sports recruiting profile, he is listed at 6-3, 195 pound and rated 3-stars, the No. 5 cornerback and No. 32 overall among JUCO recruits in the 2021 class. In addition to his AU and UT scholarship offers, his profile also shows offers from East Carolina, Utah State and Washington State.

Torrence’s commitment comes a day after he helped his team win the JUCO national championship. Torrence’s play earned him Jayhawk Conference Defensive Player of the Year recognition. Highlights from the season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
