Auburn lands in-state LB, second commitment of the day

When lifelong Auburn fan Josh Marsh got the chance to commit to the Tigers, he wasn’t going to pass it up.

After impressing AU coaches at camp Friday afternoon, coach Gus Malzahn extended a scholarship offer to the Decatur, Ala. linebacker. Marsh told Malzahn to count him in Auburn’s 2018 class.

“I went up there and talked to [Malzahn] and he said, ‘We want to offer you a scholarship,'” Marsh told Auburn Undercover’s Keith Niebuhr. “And I was like, ‘Okay, I want to commit.'”

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Marsh does not currently have a Composite rating, but is rated the No. 34 Alabama recruit and 71 outside linebacker by 247Sports. Marsh has seven scholarship offers at this time, including Louisville, Wake Forest and Purdue.
