The Auburn Tigers and Bo Nix out-dueled Ole Miss and Matt Corral Saturday night in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Tigers beat the Rebels 31-20 behind Nix’s 3-touchdown performance and critical defensive stops against Corral and Lane Kiffin’s offense.

Auburn’s defense forced Corral to throw a critical interception in the end zone near the end of the game to help seal the victory. Pressure on Corral created an errant throw back across the middle of the field in the end zone. It was picked off by Jaylin Simpson.

Simpson was asked after the game on what the mindset of the defense was to get the critical stops against Corral and the Rebels. The Auburn defensive back pointed to College GameDay.

“What I would say is what we saw on College GameDay today,” Simpson said smiling.

During the picks portion of College GameDay, the regular analysts — joined by hilarious guest picker Ken Jeong — all picked Ole Miss to beat Auburn. Auburn players all took note. So did the social media team.
