Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin announces the Tigers’ 2022 team captains Tuesday evening.
Outside linebacker Derick Hall III, linebacker Owen Pappoe and tight end John Samuel Shenker received the honor.

All three team captains are accomplished members of the Auburn football program. Hall had a strong 2021 campaign, totaling 54 tackles, 12 for loss with 9 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Pappoe has had a strong career at Auburn in his own right, totaling 165 career tackles with 6 sacks.
Shenker broke the single-season record for receptions by a tight end in 2021 with 33 for 413 receiving yards. Across his career, Shenk has totaled 571 receiving yards with 2 touchdowns.
