It’s been known for a while now that star Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson will play in the Peach Bowl, but there were questions about just how healthy he’d be.
On Saturday morning, Johnson answered questions about his shoulder, saying he’s feeling good heading into the matchup against UCF.
In fact, he told reporters, he feels about back to full strength, saying he is making moves like he did earlier in the season (via 247Sports):
“Yeah, I feel 100%, finally, or as close to 100% as you can get at this point,” he said. “I felt really good. I’ve been running like my old self and making moves like my old self. It’s giving me confidence and making me happy, and I’m ready to see what I can do in the real game now.”
That’s obviously great news for the Tigers, as they need Johnson to carry a full load on Monday afternoon if they’re going to hang with the high-powered UCF offense.
His limited availability in the SEC Championship Game led to a tough loss, so being able to rely on him more this time around is great for Auburn’s chances.
