Auburn reportedly losing Austin Davis brings an onslaught of ‘dumpster fire’ reactions
By Keith Farner
Published:
Auburn and Bryan Harsin are in a difficult situation this week as Austin Davis, who was briefly the offensive coordinator, has reportedly stepped down only weeks after his reported hire, and without him coaching a practice.
It’s the latest move in what has been a series of staff changes at Auburn. Harsin will now hire his third offensive coordinator in 13 months with the departure of Davis, who was set to replace Mike Bobo. He’s also hired 2 defensive coordinators and replaced other coaches as well. Although his Boise assistants and football administrators are still on staff.
This news came only days after defensive coordinator Derek Mason stepped down, and ultimately left for Oklahoma State.
Here’s a sampling of the reaction:

Would you say that the Bryan Harsin era is off to a terrible start or a really terrible start?

Really strong start to the Bryan Harsin era. Well, “start” and “era” being relative terms. https://t.co/3CToVpULYo

Bryan Harsin lost his defensive coordinator due to philosophical differences and now his offensive coordinator after being on the job for a few weeks…
