Auburn has been one of the nation’s top teams this year in men’s basketball. Currently, the Tigers are No. 9 in the AP Poll.
They face a road trip to South Carolina on Tuesday night, but they’ll be without one of their key players.
As you can see below, the team announced via Twitter on Tuesday evening that junior Allen Flanigan was out for the contest “due to medical reasons”:
Junior guard Allen Flanigan is out for tonight’s game at South Carolina due to medical reasons.

What those medical issues are wasn’t mentioned in the tweet. But, Flanigan just made his return to the court following surgery on his Achilles and was earning more minutes.
On the ESPN broadcast of the game, it was reported that Flanigan was out due to COVID-19 protocols:

We’ll see when Flanigan is able to return to the court moving forward.
