It’s not what you say but how you say it. That phrase describes what Auburn basketball’s Twitter account did on Friday.
Alabama’s hashtag throughout the 2017-18 season has been “buckle up.” So naturally, what did Auburn basketball use to tease its highlight video after earning a blowout win against the Tide on Wednesday night?

Needless to say, the Tigers didn’t need to do much talking after pulling away for the 90-71 win on Wednesday night. It’s Auburn who finds itself in position to close out a regular season title while Alabama is fighting for an NCAA Tournament berth.
The Tide could better its case with a deep run in the SEC Tournament, and potentially by knocking off Auburn in the process. Surely that would spark a trolling tweet or two.
Either way, it’s clear that this rivalry is picking up steam on the hardwood.
