So close.

Auburn’s 17-game home sellout streak came to an end against Arkansas State on Saturday night, but it was close.

Jordan-Hare Stadium has a capacity of 87,451, but the official attendance on Saturday night was only 86,825.

According to AL.com, coach Gus Malzahn didn’t seem to notice the few empty seats during Saturday night’s win:

“Outstanding crowd,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. “I mean the crowd was off the charts. I really appreciate our fans.”

Auburn will have a chance to start a new sellout streak on Saturday when the Tigers host Texas A&M.
