Austin Stogner explains why he transferred from Oklahoma to South Carolina

South Carolina and coach Shane Beamer have landed a couple of key players from Oklahoma this offseason — QB Spencer Rattler and TE Austin Stogner.
Recently, Stogner explained why he left Oklahoma for Columbia and it’s not the reason you might think.
Stogner explained to the South Carolina Rivals.com page:
“Me and Coach Beamer, we were real tight at OU and he’s my favorite coach I’ve ever had,” Stogner said. “He gets me and he knows how to get the best out of me. I trust him. He’s got an awesome family and I trust him. He’s why I chose South Carolina.”
Stogner transferred to South Carolina along with Rattler a couple of weeks ago. We’ll see what sort of roles they have for the Gamecocks in 2022.
