Arkansas quarterback Kade Renfro has undergone season-ending surgery after re-injuring his left knee.

According to Whole Hog Sports, the surgery is on the same knee that Renfro tore during practice for last season’s bowl victory against Penn State.

“Surgery went great!” Renfro posted on his Instagram story Monday. “Thanks for all the prayers! Recovery has begun.”

He also posted the following on Twitter after the surgery.

The injuries to his knee are an unfortunate trend for the redshirt sophomore, who has yet to appear in any games in college. He was originally committed to Ole Miss before moving to Fayetteville at the start of the 2021 season.

Renfro was considered the No. 27 quarterback in the Class of 2022 rankings and a 3-star prospect. Hopefully, he’s able to find some level of stability and see the field soon.
