Ball State AD Haven Fields is a proud Auburn alum. So much so, he has found a way to get his football program down to Jordan-Hare Stadium in the years to come.

On Tuesday, Ball State announced that it will travel to Auburn for a matchup set to be played on Sept. 6, 2025.

“This game will provide our football student-athletes a platform to compete on another big stage with a rich intercollegiate sporting experience,”  Fields said in a released statement. “It will enhance our recruiting efforts and create memories that will last a lifetime.”

“As an Auburn alum and football letterman, it is exciting to have the opportunity to travel back South to compete against the SEC.”

Following this news, Auburn now has three non-conference games scheduled out for the 2025 season.

Auburn’s updated 2025 non-conference slate:

  • at Baylor on Aug. 30
  • vs. Ball State on Sept. 6
  • vs. South Alabama on Sept. 13
