The Tide (7-1) rose one spot to No. 7 in the AP Poll. They also moved up one spot to No. 7 in the Coaches Poll, replacing Utah, which lost to Southern California and dropped in both polls.
Alabama is idle this week as it prepares for its Nov. 7 home showdown against LSU and Heisman Trophy favorite Leonard Fournette. The game has SEC West and College Football Playoff implications for both.
