Barion Brown has been a big-time playmaker in a variety of ways for Kentucky. Now, after entering the transfer portal, he is reportedly lined up for a commitment to LSU.
Matt Zenitz with CBS Sports was among those to report the news of Brown’s expected transfer to the Tigers to play for Brian Kelly. Brown was one of the top overall players in the portal and will provide a boost offensively and on special teams for the Tigers.
Coming out of high school, Brown was a 4-star wide receiver and a top-100 prospect for the class of 2022. He made an instant impact for the Wildcats with 4 receiving touchdowns and a kick return for a touchdown as a true freshman.
This past season, Brown registered 4 receiving touchdowns and another touchdown on kick returns. In his career, Brown has 5 kick return touchdowns, including an FBS-best 3 during the 2023 season while averaging 36 yards per return.

Even without his work in the return game, Brown has been dynamic offensively. He has 1,528 receiving yards and over 1,700 yards from scrimmage with 13 total touchdowns.
Brown should have an immediate impact and will try to record a return touchdown in every season of his college career while at LSU.
