Following LSU loss, Barry Lunney Jr. shifts focus to making War Memorial trip special for Razorbacks

All things considered, it would have been really easy for Arkansas to walk into Death Valley and waive the white flag. Chad Morris’ firing was compounded by the fact the Razorbacks had to hit the road and face the nation’s No. 1 team this weekend but it didn’t appear to faze this team out of the gate.
In fact, the score was 7-6 early in the second quarter and after LSU really got rolling and started piling up yards and points on the Razorbacks, Arkansas did not crumble and finished the game with a few scores of their own.
That’s a credit to the job interim coach Barry Lunney Jr. did leading up to Saturday’s day.
By the end of the day, Arkansas fell 56-20 but there were enough signs in this game to suggest the Razorbacks plan to keep fighting to finish out the season.
Following his first game as Arkansas interim head coach, Lunney offered up these comments during his postgame press conference.
