Missouri got off to a positive start to the season with a 51-14 victory over UT-Martin.
QB Drew Lock had four TDs on 19-of-25 passing for 289 yards in his first game with new offensive coordinator Derek Dooley, the third coordinator in Lock’s four-year career in Columbia.
Lock left early in the third quarter after Missouri led at 38-7, and he connected with freshman Kam Scott on an acrobatic 70-yard touchdown pass.
Three Missouri running backs had at least 10 carries and 32 yards on the ground. Larry Rountree III led the way with 14 rushes for 58 yards and a touchdown.
Missouri will play host to Wyoming next week.
Here’s what Odom said after the first win of the season.

Odom: Mizzou would have normally pulled the ball and thrown it more on a number of run-pass options based on the defensive alignment but he wanted to run the ball, keep things simple.

Barry Odom after #Mizzou's win: "There's a lot of unknowns going into the first game, and still we've got miles to go. … If we can stay healthy, we'll have a chance." He said the team will have to play clean football and avoid turnovers.

Odom on #Mizzou's young receivers: "We've got to get those guys game ready, because they're going to help us." Freshmen Jalen Knox and Kam Scott both had strong games for the Tigers.

Odom says Khalil Oliver had an ankle sprain and could have played in the second half. Held out as a precaution. Pendleton had a sprained knee and is likely to play next week. Richaud Brandon had an ankle sprain two weeks ago. Didn't feel game-ready today.

Odom asked about Emanuel Hall: "If he can walk away with four catches for 171 yards, I'll take that route tree every time."
