Alabama knocked off Wisconsin last weekend, so that means it was time for Barstool’s Big Cat to pay up on his bet with Mark Ingram.
The Crimson Tide beat the Badgers 38-14. During the Week 4 edition of FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff, Big Cat made good on the wager with the former Alabama star while adding a playful jab.
“A bet is a bet. You guys whooped us. So fair is fair,” Big Cat said. “A thousand dollars to the Alabama NIL. Maybe goes to Kalen DeBoer‘s buyout? I don’t know.”
DeBoer’s buyout is roughly $70 million. He’s been on the hot seat since falling to then-unranked Florida State in Alabama’s season opener. The Crimson Tide has bounced back with 2 wins in a row since then, beginning with a 73-0 shutout vs. UL Monroe.
Alabama kicks off its SEC slate in Week 5 with a major challenge at No. 5 Georgia (Sept. 27, 7:30 p.m. ET/ABC). The undefeated Bulldogs escaped with a 44-41 victory at then-No. 15 Tennessee last Saturday.
Alabama leads the all-time series 44-26-4 vs. Georgia and has won 2 in a row in the matchup. It’ll be the first meeting between the teams in Athens since Alabama beat Georgia 38-10 on Oct. 3, 2015.
