Texas A&M landed its 24th commitment for the class of 2019 Thursday.

Four-star Baton Rouge, La. athlete Christian Harris committed to Texas A&M over offers from Alabama and LSU, among others. Harris is ranked as the nation’s No. 10 overall athlete and the state’s No. 6 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He plays both linebacker and receiver for University Lab High School.

Landing Harris over Alabama is a huge get for Jimbo Fisher and his staff. He recently visited Alabama for the fifth time this year. Auburn was also in the mix.

With Harris’ commitment, Texas A&M’s recruiting class stays at No. 3 in country. Defensive coordinator Mike Elko has been Harris’ primary recruiter. Being able to pull an elite prospect like Harris from Louisiana — and away from Nick Saban and Alabama — is really impressive. The Aggies have some serious momentum on the recruiting trail.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pound prospect shared his commitment via Twitter.

Below are Harris’ junior highlights:
