LSU fans will have a new way to show their school spirit while tailgating this fall.

Tin Roof Brewing Co., based in Baton Rouge, announced Friday that it will be releasing an LSU-inspired beer officially licensed by the school.

“We’re really excited about this beer,” Tin Roof co-founder William McGehee said in a news release. “We want to make a beer that the LSU community can not only be proud of but also be a part of.”

Tigers fans will decide which brew gets to become the official LSU beer.

“We’ve created a slate of 8-10 test batches of various styles to sample in a blind tasting panel,” Roof said. “Each recipe was designed with the types of activities that LSU fans enjoy, such as tailgating and grilling out. The panel will be made up of these fans and they will determine the winning style that we’ll brew.”

Thirsty Tigers fans over the age of 21 and available June 14-18 can apply to be a taste tester at www.TinRoofBeer.com.
