The Baton Rouge Super Regional is set to begin Saturday between host LSU and Kentucky. Unfortunately, Game 1 of the series will be delayed a bit longer due to the threat of inclement weather.
LSU announced at 2:47 pm ET that the game was being delayed with a chance of thunderstorms in the area. NCAA baseball followed that with an update at 3:30 pm to announce first pitch is now set for 8:06 pm ET.
Game 1 between LSU and Kentucky was originally set for 3 pm, meaning first pitch is already delayed for 5 hours. Hopefully, the weather in the evening allows for the game to resume and be played without a hitch.
Due to the chance of thunderstorms, we will be delaying the start of the game.
We will keep you informed of any updates as we monitor the weather.
