Fortunately for most college football fans, the BCS era is over. The College Football Playoff took its place, and even though the selection committee faces a tough test on Sunday, most agree it is a better system.
Sunday’s debate, though, is whether Alabama or Ohio State should get the No. 4 spot behind Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia.
Though the BCS computers only had to pick two teams to play for the national championship, it’s worth noting ahead of the CFP committee’s decision has Alabama in the No. 4 spot, mere percentage points ahead of the Buckeyes:

No matter what happens, one team is going to get left out and one team is going to be thrilled with the decision.
Whether Alabama is left out in the cold or gets in on the fun remains to be seen, but it is an interesting time to be a college football fan right now.
