This is a golden season for Indiana football. For starters, the Hoosiers knocked off Penn State in overtime, and now IU dispatched of Michigan on Saturday as the Hoosiers are becoming a hot team in the Big Ten.

After the win on Saturday, IU fans gathered at the stadium and chanted, “We want ‘Bama,” according to multiple reporters on site. It’s become a regular chant for up-and-coming teams over the years to call out the best team in the SEC in the last decade. But by and large, they live to regret it. Of course, the Hoosiers last matchup with the SEC came in a bowl loss to Tennessee last season.

The Hoosiers held on for a 38-21 victory after they built a 24-7 lead at halftime. The Hoosiers rang up 460 yards on Michigan and held the Wolverines to 13 rushing yards as pressure continues to mount around coach Jim Harbaugh. Fans have defended him over the years as Michigan has stumbled against top rivals in the Big Ten, but that may change following two straight losses to Michigan State and Indiana.
