Beau Pribula has settled in nicely as the starting quarterback for Missouri this season, as he helped the Tigers start off 4-0 entering the game on Saturday night against UMass.

On Saturday night, he added to his incredible start to the year by breaking the school record for consecutive completions of 21, besting the previous high-watermark of 20 held by Chase Daniel.

Pribula decided to transfer to Missouri last season during Penn State’s run to the College Football Playoff semifinals last year. He had shown a ton potential in a small role at Penn State, but that was more of a dynamic runner.

He was in a quarterback battle with Sam Horn entering the season, as the two were going to split time in the first game of the season. However, Horn got injured in that game on the first play, and Pribula has been the guy ever since.

The Tigers have one of the most dynamic playmakers at running back in Ahmad Hardy, so he is not needed to run the ball near as much. One advantage Pribula has had as the quarterback for the Tigers as he hasn’t had to go on the road yet this year for a start. Missouri’s first six games of the season are at home, but that final test will be much tougher as the Tigers will host Alabama in two weeks in Columbia.
