Fans love a Cinderella story in the NCAA Tournament. In most cases, the Cinderella of the tournament is a seed higher than five, but it has been a rather chalky March Madness in 2019. The first two spots of the Final Four have gone to a No. 3-seed (Texas Tech) and a No. 1-seed (Virginia). With two spots left, No. 5-seed Auburn is the only remaining contender for the Final Four to have any Cinderella feel to it.

After surviving New Mexico State’s upset bid in Round 1, the Tigers have advanced to the Elite Eight by taking down college basketball blue-boods No. 4 seed Kansas and No. 1-seed North Carolina. As AU gets ready to take on another blue-blood, No. 2-seed Kentucky, the betting line indicates that the clock is nearing midnight.

When Sunday’s matchup was set Friday night, Kentucky opened as a 2.5-point favorite. UK is now up to a 4.5-point favorite.

Good news for Tigers fans is that many sportsbooks also had the Tar Heels a 4.5-to-5-point favorite entering Friday night’s game. We all know how that turned out.
